Pride Amsterdam: a houseboat B&B near the Canal Parade.
Every summer Amsterdam turns into one big celebration. The Canal Parade sails through the canals, watched by hundreds of thousands of people, by some counts up to a million. The parade starts at the Oosterdok, a short bike ride from our island. Party all day, then sleep in peace on the water in the Boatsuite.
Where to stay for Pride Amsterdam?
The Canal Parade takes place on Saturday 7 August 2027, from 12:00 to 18:00. The boats leave from the Oosterdok and sail via the Nieuwe Herengracht, the Amstel and the Prinsengracht to the Westerdok. AmsterdamBB is on KNSM Island, about 12 minutes by bike from the Oosterdok. You sleep in your own private Boatsuite on houseboat Kadans, with your own front door, so you can come back whenever you like.

When is the Canal Parade 2027?
On Saturday 7 August 2027, from 12:00 to 18:00. Pride Amsterdam runs for about two weeks before that, from late July, with the Pride Walk, Pride Park and parties all over the city. Dates can change, so check pride.amsterdam.
Where is the best spot to watch the Canal Parade?
Anywhere along the route: the Amstel and the Prinsengracht are the classics. Get there early, the quays fill up fast. The parade starts at the Oosterdok, the closest point to our island.
How far is AmsterdamBB from the Canal Parade?
About 12 minutes by bike to the start at the Oosterdok. The Prinsengracht near Leidseplein is 19 minutes by bike. On parade day, bike or walk: trams in the centre often run diverted.
Is it quiet at night during Pride?
Yes. KNSM Island is a calm residential island, away from the party crowds. You have your own front door, so you come back whenever you like.
